Guest guest
Nope..you're one thinking parent. I like the vaccination for children book by Aviva Jill-Romm. Very straight forward and provides good references. Jill, have you read this one? Remember when small pox was big in the news? That year I read about a teen who'd gone on a missionary trip and some of the members of his party had contracted small pox. The group was to be quarantined before they came back into the USA. He somehow snuck through. Some folks made a huge fuss about it - it hit the papers - about how irresponsible it was for him to come back into the US though his party members had this disease. Their main anger was that he was a kid who'd never been vaccinated for anything. However, no one around him got sick when he came home. They were just pissed that he 'put them in danger of contracting small pox.' Long story made short: it was dropped from the news reports. I can only venture that someone must have pointed out that he - a completely unvaccinated person - was the only one of his party that didn't get sick with small pox. How could anyone possibly set up a rebuttal when the rest who did get the vaccine did get sick??? His name was never revealed in the report. I tried and tried in vain to find a follow up immediately following that report. Had it made the headlines as it should have - and Jill has pointed out how all of the media reports the same party line - people would have started thinking twice about vaccines about other things too hopefully. We can't have that can we? I know the list mama posted a site where you can find out vaccine guidelines on a state by state basis along with exemptions. That is the nuance that hurts. The majority of the public then interprets exemptions as believing vaccination is the law and that keeps them from becoming better educated consumers. If our bodies need to purge the toxins and disease through any orafice needed, then we better listen to it. Where do these toxins and disease settle in the body if we don't purge? Aside from the flu vaccine I refused that my children receive any vaccinations from the time I almost lost one child due to a vaccination when he was a baby. Am I bad parent? Guest guest
I vaguely DO remember it, and it was also a subject of one of those " ripped from the headlines " night drama. Maybe 24? I have NO clue. Jill Mc. Alabama Dale Bernucca <dbernucca wrote: Jill, have you read this one?
