Maybe .. I'm not familiar with American nurse or doctor speak. I am

familiar with straight shooting .. and after serving more than half my

life in the military .. where we don't get wrapped around the axle on

who is from where or whatever .. I prefer and am used to straight

straight shooters.

chagrined at the response it provoked.

If my comments .. which were not a slam of a condemnation of anyone's

words .. vexed, mortified or embarrassed you .. then it might be that

you have a hang up on certain terms .. or very thin skin .. and I do

not feel responsible for that nor do I regret having made the remarks

I made. :-)

racial terminology in medicine (let alone " PC " in general) on this list.

Do you think that any comments you disagree with necessitate debate?

I stand by what I wrote .. see nothing wrong with it .. feel that

folks would be better off shooting straighter rather than trying to

walk the wire and not step on cracks in the sidewalk .. and hope you

will hang around the list long enough to realize that nobody on this

list (that I know of) tries to cause discomfort for any other member

but there are members on ANY Newsgroup who can find offense in things

that might cause their snakes to start acting up.

All possible, some likely, but a reply to message #27298 ( " EOs for

Vasculitis? " ) would eliminate much vexation, etc. I get testy when

people seem to have time for long OT essays but not for my requests

for help :).

Of course not (and your question rings a tad belligerent to my ear,

FYI). Rather--since you had replied specifically to my comment--I was

merely trying to disclaim responsibility for any debate among other

group members that might ensue. ;)
