Guest guest
I thought everyone would want to know about this if they haven't heard already . Hugs, Sally Sorry for the cross post, but I think this is important - List Moms - delete if you disagree. Anyone who is concerned about their privacy whilst surfing might like to know this. It's happened before, but appear to have re-set everyone's settings back to the 'we'll track you're Internet movements' version even if you previously opted out. They are using something called " Web Beacons " to track users around the net and see what you're doing and where you are going - similar to cookies but sneakier. Take a look at their updated privacy statement: http://privacy./privacy/us/pixels/details.html<http://privacy.\ /privacy/us/pixels/details.html> About half-way down the page, in the section " Outside the Network " , you'll see a little " click here " link that will let you " opt-out " of this method of snooping.! ONCE YOU HAVE CLICKED THAT LINK - YOU ARE OPTED OUT!!! Notice the " Success " message the top the next page. BE CAREFUL because on that page there is a " Cancel Opt-out " button that, if clicked, will *undo** the opt-out. Feel free to forward this to other groups. Guest guest
Well said, this tracking is for commercial gain, or as a method to spy on their customers for who knows what reasons. If tracking is necessary for criminal reasons then the authorities can do that themselves, it is NOT the business of private internet companies.
