Guest guest
On the other hand... My mother gets it every year. For her it's a question of life and death. If she got the flu, she could die. Literally. She has Emysema and chronic Bronchitis which leads to pneumonia EVERY TIME! But for me... There isn't enough money... well there is, but no one would be willing to pay me! LOL! I haven't had the flu in YEARS! My three eldest had a bad version just as we were leaving England (6 years ago) and moving to the states, the airline was SO happy to have my kids on board. Actually my son slept on the floor for the entire flight. He was no prob. The eldest threw up once and the youngest had a problem in her nappy, just once... but her father who was holding her at the time was unhappy as the nappy leaked onto his leg. Me, I was fine but useless. I can't take high altitudes any more, All I can do is lie very quietly. I get palpitations and dizzy now and feel like I can't breathe. Very strange. Anyway, HE caught the flu from them as soon as we got here. Since then however, the only one who has ever gotten the flu is me husband, and again he contracted it in England just before he flew home from a trip. I sprayed the room with Oregano and Thyme Hydrosols... Room smelled like pizza but no one else got it. I'm off the opinion that if one is generally in good health, then there is no need for the vaccine. JMO. And don't anyone get me started on childhood vaccinations. ;-) Cheers! Guest guest
I'm kind of in the same boat with your mom - I have emphysema (was chronic bronchitis and worsened) and multiple sclerosis. Like it or not, I need to get a flu shot every year. Paula ........in Michigan Coming soon Farm Fresh Soaps & Candles On the other hand... My mother gets it every year. JMO. And don't anyone get me started on childhood vaccinations. ;-) I quite second that. I have not had flu for years and years and years. One nasty cold last year and I know exactly which indulgences led to it: not enough water, not enough sleep, too much cheese and too many cookies while supposedly baking for Christmas. I forgot how miserable a cold could be. Perversely, it peaked in misery on Christmas day. My home-grown echinacea tincture will fend off any intruder that makes it past the considerable barrier of AFA* and rainforest herbs. However, for those among us who feel very vulnerable, could you consider a homeopathic vaccine? I was just on the phone with a friend who was in the health field. That is what she used. She is supposed to send me the email with it. I'll pass it on as soon as she does. AFA* my fave substance. aquazon
Guest guest
The homeopathic " Influenzium " is a good homeopathic alternative to the flu vaccine lesley
