Hi, I just joined this group. It looked like a great one. I am

really disconcerted though to see the wide bashing of YL oils and

people who use them. s this what this group is about? I do use YL

oils. I like them alot. I also use Oshadhi and some others. I am

not a follower of any specific modality of oil usage. I just use them

as I see fit and what fit's in with my research. I have been

studying and using oils for 12 years, and I have found that is what

works best for me and my family. So, what I am wondering now that I

have joined is, is this just a group that uses an exclusive brand or

follows a certain person's knowledge, or as one post that I read

states- is a place for everyone to learn and discuss? But then that

same person posted often bashing YL and it's users. I am truly in

need of an answer, as I do not want to spend time in A hostile or

negative environment, when I just want to learn more about the oils

and the great things they do. Please do not try to " enlighten " me on

all the YL junk. I have read it all, and still prefer to use those

along with others. I really am honest in wanting to know if this

list is what it says, or is the overall tone against YL oils? Just

for clarification, I am not a distributor, just a customer. Thanks

for some honest answers.:)

Okay, Heather, here's the skinny seen through my eyes.

This IS a great group. You will find an awful lot of good information here

and for the most part people tend to be very friendly.

People buy from all sorts of suppliers on this list. On ad day you'll see

quite a few represented here.

Having said that: The subject of YL brings out a lot of heated feeling,

both those for and those against. Those who are for YL company feel they

have valid reasons for being so... those of those who speak out against the

con man and liar Gary Young and his company have darned good reason to do

so. (Guess where EYE stand ;-) ).

You just happened to catch this list at a time when the subject has poked

it's head up again. It will die down again. It always does. Hang in there

and you can always delete the posts that you don't care for.

As to the company's oils, if you're happy with them >shrug< that's your

choice. I figure after 12 years you've been around the block long enough to

know what you like and what you don't. So if you like the companys oils,

enjoy them. But you'll have to understand that a lot of folks DON " T like

them. It's nothing personal.

Cheers

Heathermer,

It's not the oils that are the controversy, it's the hype , false and

often outright dangerous use that is proposed by YL, that a lot of

people on this list have a ' beef ' with.

If you like to pay their overextended prices and believe they are the

only 'pure' and natural essential oils around, that's your perogative.

Hi and welcome to the group.

If you are pro-YL and have read everything and is okay with Gary and

his oils, then I have to be honest and say, not many aromatherapy

boards are going to pleasant for you or pro-YL other than YL message

boards. If you stay on and avoid the YL posts - which people will

warn you they are writing about YL.

There are certain things I debate and certain things I don't. YL,

religion, politics are among those. Will I talk bad about YL, yes I

will, but don't take it personally, I don't bash people who use them,

so you can have a decent conversation with me.

Party on.
