YL .. An Indelicate Question

There appear to be several YL'ers on/monitoring this list.

Too all of you who monitor this list and have so bravely written me off list

chastising me for obliquely slamming Young Living in my “Delicate Questionâ€

post. Let me reiterate my experience. Not opinion. Experience. I have posted

this before on this list so if this seems familiar, you can stop ready right

here, you've read it before.

I was literally burned at a Young Living class where I volunteered to be one

of 5 folks from the audience who applied 7 essential oils in succession to an

area of pain. The class teacher asked for volunteers who had pain of any sort

to come forward and try a particular treatment whose name I no longer remember

.... it was several years ago at an Esthetics convention I was covering. YL

had taken a booth and was conducting a class. I was curious and not inclined to

listen to others judgements about anything but to make up my own mind ... I'm

a journalist and nothing is beter than real live experience.

So I volunteered and the teacher would give us drops of 7 different essential

oils (I don't remember the success but I think it was 5 eo's and two blends)

and we were to put these oils on the painful area ... my right shoulder. So I

followed directions. And soon, I thought, Wow! These folks are really on to

something. My shoulder feels much better. Cool. Maybe it will work on my hip.

About 20 minutes later, my shoulder started getting hot. Then my bra strap

felt like a scalpel cutting into my shoulder. And by the time I got back to

my hotel room I had welts the size of quarters all over the area where I was

directed to put the eo's. I took care of myself; I knew what to do. Next

day, I saw two of the other volunteers and they had the same reaction in varying

degrees ... once worse, one not so bad. But we all had blisters, light

bleeding and extreme discomfort.

I went to the YL booth and they completely discounted these very visible

welts and blisters saying it was proof of their method. They told me it happened

often. That's just bunk. When I went to my Doctor upon returning home the

area where the oils were applied was classified as a second degree burn.

I fault Young Living for deliberately lying and knowingly putting innocents

at risk.

The truth can be found in my experience and that of many others documented at

www.quackwatch.com.

Anyone unafraid to see the truth quickly understands these are greedy,

irresponsible little Hilters, one step away from Jim Jones and the Kool Aid, who

are

dispensing the most dangerous propaganda of all time: half-truths.

I volunteered, I wanted to see for myself.

And as the Bible says: “Now I see clearly ... â€

I pray for those who don't, you are in harm's way.
