OT: Deb McDuffee had a boy!

Remember this post??? Well, I e-mailed to check up on her. Couldn't help

myself. You don't have to ask me twice to share in your birth! LOL

Read the next post after this one to hear her story.

Re: help baby come quicker

Actually, if you could post replies to the group on this, it would be most

helpful to me, too! I am overdue, small-framed, and they tell me baby is

already pushing 8 lb., and they gain about 1/2 lb. a week, so I am ready to

meet my little one!

I plan on trying acupuncture this week, have heard great things about it for

getting labor started, but I am having trouble getting an appointment. I

have tried EPO and NSP's 5W herbal blend, but I ended up with a stomachache

instead of contractions, so I figured it is not what my body wants. I walk

every day, practice yoga and squats, stimulate acupressure points, and

nothing. Little guy is too comfy in there, I think! :-)

DEB'S STORY

Hi Dale,

Thanks for checking up on me! Owen is finally here -- yay! He was born on

November 20 at 4:17 a.m., after 36 hours of natural labor and birth at a

birthcenter. We were all healthy and home within 8 hrs after the birth. The

reason it took so darned long is b/c his head was crooked b/c his hand was with

him in the birth canal, so although I effaced completely very quickly, it took a

long time to dilate b/c of his angle. He never moved and came right out with

his little hand against his head -- such a grand entrance, eh? The midwives

were incredible, and my doula so supportive. We are so thrilled with our

experience and amazing birth, and enjoying our babymoon! My incredible husband

is the talk of the birthcenter now -- he was so supportive and believed in me so

much, knowing that I could make it through the long labor. I am one lucky wife

and mommy! Please feel free to share with the group, and thanks again for

checking on me!
