I agree with Rita. My friend Wendy swears by YL and keeps telling me to use it

in my soaps. I told her it wouldnt be cost effective, that I have to buy

wholesale, and on a metaphysical level, it doesnt matter too much. well, she is

Christian. not knocking you christians, but she runs with stuff she thinks is a

miracle. I am basically " pagan " or everything else has merrit, believer.

I think YL is a bunch of brainwashed SnakeCharmers...who dont really know

anything about snakes.

Wendy thinks that their stuff is the best out there, but she only has read what

the rest of us has, and she has no previous background in EO's. my basic

background comes from praticing Wicca, paganism, living in Hawaii, cooking at

home.

Simple Common Sense, and some decent books.

Wendy used some oils on her dog that was sick. Raindrop therapy. The dog had

renal failure. I told her she was hurting him more than doing good, and he was

gonna die anyway, and fluids were best.

I told her to not use EO's neat on anything or anyone without consulting someone

more skilled outside of YL, anyways. You can kill an animal doing that.

Rita, you are one smart cookie!

Hugs,

Nessy

Since there have been several YL postings, I wanted to share an experience I had

with the company. Although I had experience with some herbs and oil before I

came across YL, I too was intrigued with what they did and how they did it.

About the time I finished grad school, I met a dentist who was interested in

" alternative health care " . I though he might be a good person to get on my down

line, so I bought several tubes of YL toothpaste and ask them to send me copies

of the " research " they said had been conducted at Weber State. Now keep in mind

I was fresh out of grad school and research is the name of the game there. I

looked up everything I could find about AT and there was NOTHING from Weber

State. Colleges LIVE for research and to be published -- yet nothing. I get this

" stuff " in the mail they (YL) called research and it is nothing but copies of

articles, some from general public magazines, about how good clove is for you or

some other ingredient that is in the tooth paste.

NOTHING - NOTHING that would be considered " research " by any college or

university. It was all bogus crap. And on top of it all the copies were very

poor, almost unreadable. I started looking into more about YL and realized that

much of what they were doing, including using neat oils on babies/children and

animals was more than I could condone.

So there is my story with YL -- not glamorous but then fraud isn't

Hi All,

I would like to share what frightens me most about YL- allowing

their customer base to use eo's internally. I have always been aware

of the misleading propaganda that GL put out there and quite frankly

I have considered him the thorn in the practice of aromatherapy. At

the recent Mind Body Expo in Valley Forge, I happened to overhear a

YL rep telling her potential customer that she could definitely take

her oils internally while at the same time recommending some

beginner books to this woman!!! I did not confront her that day, but

found her alone the next morning. I did find out that Gary Young

(through conference and written training manuals) advises his

followers that internal use of the oils is completely safe and will

not harm any of the organs because they are 100 % ABSOLUTELY PURE

THERAPEUTIC GRADE OILS!!! When I attempted to educate her a little

about this and the possible repercussions, she immediately clarified

the fact that she was not an aromatherapist but simply sold the

oils. Unfortunately, she could not seem to get it into that GY

brainwashed head of hers that by doing so she has left the " relative

safety " of simply selling the oils and could now be accused of

treating a patient.

Frankly, it scares the hell out of me that this is going on.

Blessed Be,

Debbi

Hi All,

I had never even heard of YL until this list. No One in my area even sells it.

I went to Columbus to the Light Expo and found one booth carring the products.

I tried their juice and it was not very good tasting and then I started to ask

questions about the oils. The lady whom I was talking to really had little

knowledge about the company or the oils. I tried asking if they were pure oils,

her reply was that he grows his own herbs. I also told her that I was very new

with essentials and of the 20 or so books I had read NO ONE had said to use them

directly on the skin except for lavender or tea tree in limited uses. I tried

to explain that it could be dangerous, but her reply was she didn't know to much

about it. I have read that they go to seminars and have meetings. I guess she

didn't attend any of them. In the end, she asked me to leave the booth because

of my questions, which by the way, she couldn't or wouldn't answer. Kathy
