Guest guest
Hi Lori, Your post and some off line posts asked pretty much the same questions and happy I am to see this because folks with inquiring minds can't be BS'd by the Young Living line for long. We have a very large number of ex-YL'ers as members of this list now .. and without exception all are happy to be ex-YL'ers. If I am wrong y'all .. lemme know. ;-) The subject of this post begins with YL: like some post begin with OT: or Ad: The reason is that for so many years on so many lists there was so much discussion on YL that folks decided to start coding it so when they wanted to search the archive they could find it easily. > Butch, > > I am new, and have some Young Living oils that were a gift from a > friend....please " enlighten " me on the harm they have caused----and > if I am at risk using these oils? Like Kathleen and Andrea said .. the oils are probably safe .. hard to say because they don't ever prove the authenticity or quality of their oils .. they do, however, make a lot of frivolous claims about their oils being the " only " therapeutic oils in the universe and such. Its all Bovine Excrement. Gary and Mary Young are liars and con artists who use religion to peddle their products! They teach unsafe use of EO .. particularly in their Raindrop Therapy (RDT) which is the application of neat EO to the body. This is a way to sell more oils. If I am lying I should be concerned now because YL is a multi-million dollar multi-level marketing (MLM) organization with all kinds of slick catfish lawyers on retainer. Am I concerned? No! Why? Because they don't want to wash their dirty laundry in public and they know if they screw with me that is going to happen. They also know that I know a lot more about them than I can tell folks on this list because I don't want to put the sources of that information at risk .. and I'm not talking about risk of legal action. They know who I am and they know where I live and they know when I'm in the USA. They also know they can't shut me up with threats and they aren't slick enough to do it otherwise. But they did try to compromise me once. I don't see myself as being an AT Icon but they have successfully compromised a number of the Icons in this business. Money can create a powerful motivation for some folks to sell out .. but not for me .. I don't need more money .. got enough to buy me a home and a nice pick-um-up when I decide to come back to the USA .. and got a nice military retirement check. Plus I had some good raising .. my stepdad was an ol' kuntry boy with an 8th grade education .. but he was honest enough and well thought of enough to be elected as a magistrate and later as a Prenticeman for the dreaded Democratic Party of Kentucky. ;-) Then I spent 30 years in an honorable profession .. the U.S. Army .. and if I was not a believer in ethics prior to entering I damn sure was by the time I retired. A few years back one of the YL folks tried to get me to do a direct export of a large amount of Turkish Oregano EO to them. Told me that they never revealed the source of their products and all that good stuff. Told them I would not sell to them because I don't fraternize with the enemy and I saw them as being an enemy of mankind! If one sells out for $50 or $50,000 it matters not .. they are still a whore and a piss ant. Gary Young is a fraud and a pathological liar who owns an organization that teaches unsafe methods of using essential oils in order to sell more oils and to boost his own ego. He is a dishonest man! Gary Young calls himself " Dr. " Young .. but he has no formal education that would entitle him to call himself a doctor. He does have a mail order diploma from a diploma mill .. one of those we often see in spam e-mails offering to let us be what we want to be by paying a couple of hundred bucks. These diploma mills are not illegal in that they issue certificates that indicate the so-called university is non accredited. But that doesn't stop con artists from claiming credentials they didn't earn. This is what Mr. Gary Young does and his followers eat it up. Gary Young is a charlatan and a con artist .. but a very charismatic con artist and one who draws those who need to follow a slick guru. Not unlike the Reverends Moon, Falwell, Jim Jones and David Koresch. YL is NOT about aromatherapy .. its about making folks become a victim and a member of a weird cult led by a man who has lied about everything he has ever claimed .. and been caught at it each time. So when we discuss his oils .. I ask .. how many times does a man have to lie for one to decide he is dishonest? I have been openly critical of YL since 1995 .. and likely will continue to be until I retire from this business. Maybe because I am a retired military cop and fed up with seeing people become victimized by ass holes and con artists. I have a very low level of tolerance for such people and I believe the world would be better off if the air they breath was instead breathed by more toad frogs and salamanders. One of their private groups .. led by another slicky marketer (forget his name now) is called something like the Butterfly Group. On that group once they made a list of the top ten enemies of YL .. folks who were considered to be demons out to disparage the good name of their illustrious leader. I was right proud to be named on that list. :-P Oh yea .. I forgot to mention .. there are those who believe that Mr. Gary Young is Christ personified .. and though he doesn't openly claim he is .. he doesn't deny it. He does insinuate that God has given him a mission to heal through the miracle of HIS essential oils. ;-) I have on my web site a link to YL .. and it draws some attention from the YL groupies .. from those who are mesmerized by the slick Mr. Gary Young. I get all kinds of off line posts from these people and almost without fail they quote scripture to me in order to criticize my actions and justify the behavior of their guru. ;-) Comments like .. and these are quotes from my YL Bovine Excrement File: > " He who is without sin, cast the first stone " . Are you without > sin, and deceit yourself totally, with a flawless life? > You are just another brainwashed aromatherapist that has fallen for > the garbage of MISINFORMATION on essential oils. > The Bible tells us we should not " Bear False Witness. " > Truth is a double edged sword, one edge is sweet when you're right, > and the other is bitter when you're wrong. If you are wrong, your > very own sword of truth will eventually cut you to the core, and > you will be made one way or the other to acknowledge your fault. And so on. I normally write back to the idiots and I always end my posts with .. " If YL should recommend you drink Kool-Aid at one of their brain washing sessions, you should give a lotta consideration to saying " No thank you. " Many folks like you have gone under snakes for such blind obedience. " ;-) Often they accuse me and other sellers of EO of just being jealous of Dr. Young. Idiots! Nobody who knows anything about Aromatherapy defects to Young Living .. its the other way around. As for me being jealous .. I don't want to grow .. I want to retire. ;-) Here is a URL you can check yourself and decide for yourself. It only touches the tip of the ice berg. And before you click on it I'll tell you that the link that says: " The REAL story about Gary Young and YLEO By Eva Briggs MD " does not work .. not sure why but the person who owns that portion of the site is on our list and I ask them to either get it working or to transfer it to me and I will put it on my web site. http://theguidetoaromatherapy.com/ylfiles.html > Thanks, > Lori Welcome you are .. and y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch > Butch Owen [butchbsi] > <snipped> > We have our own bogey bear in Aromatherapy .. one we continue to feed. > Its not turned on us yet because we are not a legitimate industry and we > (except for some Young Living practices) have caused no harm ..
