Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been wanting to make some fairly simple perfumes and hope someone will be able to answer a couple of questions for me . . . I was thinking of using a jojoba oil base . . . what proportion of EO would I use? I realize that it could vary depending on what EOs I'm using, but a ballpark ratio would be a huge help. I've also recently seen some " pulse points " that use glycerine, alcohol and EOs . . . could anyone suggest proportions for something like this as well? And I'm assuming that I'd use perfumer's alcohol? Thanks bunches!! Roxanne ______________ Juno Platinum $9.95. Juno SpeedBand $14.95. Sign up for Juno Today at http://www.juno.com! Guest guest
Hi Roxanne I make up two roller-ball bottles which are very popular for pulse-points and perfuming. I use Macadamia as the base and nothing else - because it's light, easily-absorbed and stable. Jojoba would be a great one too. In the Lavender one I put 4% of my Lavender Fine and in the Neroli one just 0.5% of my Neroli (by weight, that is). I experimented based on my nose (ie, the Neroli is REALLY strong) and the fact that the Lavender has a practical use - for headaches, etc. Hope that helps.
