Guest guest
Well, I finally found a use for all that Manoi and Virgin Coconut that I bought off of Chris, a while back. Monday I made several bottles of a hand & body lotion with both, some fractionated coconut oil, some cream base and some of my surplus Rose oil. Used up some of my bottles from some coop about three years ago. Today it was body bars, again with the Manoi and the Virgin Coconut, plus beeswax and some more of the rose. I used those " deodorant roll up " thingees. Got them in a another coop about three years ago, still with their Australia post mark on them. While I like both, I love the body bars. Because of the virgin coconut and the manoi, makes a little bit of a softer bar (LITTLE BIT), so is a tad easier to put on than some of the roll ons I've made in the past. Not sure what I'm going to get up to next... perhaps perfume. I've two recipes. One is my own using Lilac FO (yes I know, not at all natural, but I love the stuff), along with Sandalwood and rose and the other is a recipe that I made to order for Dorothy Morrison (some of you might know her books, " IN Praise of the crone " , and the Series Of " Everday Magic " books). THAT was a hoot let me tell you. Make up samples, send them off, get feedback, send off more samples etc... in the end we finally settled on one that she named " Sass " . I couldn't tell you all that's in it (cuz then I'd have to shoot you! ROFLMAO!), simply because I can't remember. It's been a few years since I made any of it up, but I do remember Jasmine Sambac is in it. So perhaps that's on my agenda. I quit this biz about three years ago because I got tired of making " to order " stuff, but I had forgotten how much I actually enjoy making the stuff up. OH! Bathsalts next maybe. Got Jars and wooden scoops to get rid of too! ;-) So. What YOU cooking up? Cheers!
