I should have stated " responsible use " of essential oils. ;-) I am

aware of numerous incidents of Young Living's " Raindrop Therapy " cause

irritation and sensitization .. and some tales besides that.

I hear you. That lady simply became irritated .. and it can happen when

we put EO on broken or damaged skin .. or normal skin if we use EO neat.

heh, well, i sent an introduction but never saw it come thru. but i had to

add my 2 cents to this one..

BEWARE of strong peppermint oil! i was living with my boyfriend a few months

back and was in the habit of running a bath with a couple drops of

peppermint oil for scent and relaxation... i love mint :) anyway, he ran a

bath for me and poured in the entire small bottle's worth that i had.. he

didnt know how much i usually used and once you pour out some peppermint oil

its just overwhelming anyway, can be hard to tell an amount. so i went to

take the bath, lowered myself in, and started to go into shock.. the

peppermint oil was mostly on the top of the water, so of course my skin

soaked up most of it and i couldnt get enough off. i spent the next 2 hours

alternately huddled in about 4 blankets and trying to scrape the oil off my

skin with anything available. it felt like my skin was burning with cold,

similar to frostbite, and occasinally i would have minor convulsions. (keep

in mind im not allergic to peppermint, and recently took an allergy test

that confirms im still not.. just too much oil over too much skin.)

anyways, thats my personal lesson about respecting oils..

lynn :)
