Guest guest
Bill had a heart cath Wednesday. I was to bring him home yesterday morning. They sent Bill to a different hospital after the test for the stints to be put in, could only do half do to the dye from the test. He came through it okay, then was coming home yesterday morning. They would do the rest next week. I had my daughter take my car to the door where he would be coming out of. Couldn't see paying a valet for 30 minutes, Just about 5 minutes after we left the hospital, its in a distant part of this land, closer to Detroit. I asked Bill if he was hungery, he said no just in a lot of pain and tired. Its about 10 or so mintues to get to 75 but the best way home from there. I'm in the center lane, 75 is always full of traffic. I said something to Bill, He doesn't hear me half the time. So I asked again, this time looking over, I thought he was getting more confortable moving toward the door. So again this time I said Bill loudly, and looked over, he was having a seisure. Sheryl got out of her seat belt, hit my emerency button, I started to get over then got off at the next exit. I pulled into the first place I could. Onstar is great. They sent a ambulance and the cops. I was so upset I didn't notice how upset my grandson was. He was with us, 8 and only had half a day of school this week. As there are 2 Beaumont hospital near 75, the main was were we were coming from. The cop asked if I was alright to drive, I said yes, I'm not a good passenger in my car. But he just asked if it would probably keep my mind busy. Bobbie Vinton was on the CD and when he was singing one of his polish songs, I looked back to see Matt was crying. So I told Matt we would sing along in polish. Got a smile out of him on that. And so I sang. But we were about 15 to 20 minutes to the hospital. They did a lot of test in emergency. Said they would keep him a few days , even though he said he was fine and just wanted to come home. As soon as I knew the room number, I just wanted to get out of there before the traffic really got bad. Plus with me there Bill would just put up a good show to show me he was alright. Sheryl called my son, asked him to come over to take me for gas and I would take him out to dinner. Him I never mind letting drive my car. He had just gotten his permit when I got my other caddy . As I was going to have surgery he would be my driver for 6 weeks. Had Michele take up a turkey sandwich as the cardiac food is awful. She lives about 1 half an hour from the hospital. I called him about 8. They are going back in this morning. A nurgosurgan and his Dr. My nerves are shot. Hugs Nancy

My father has gone through a lot (heart attack, colon cancer, herniated disks, prostrate cancer and the last was what they called a stroke -but no signs of any lingering problems) over a 20 year period. He is 80 years old and he worked up until April of this year --and that is only because my mother demanded it because she's not too happy with his driving! LOL He is doing great and recovers so well each time. He is still challenging his grown grandson's to races and could probably still whip them in arm wrestling! I remember when I was a runner in highschool, he raced me down our street --it wasn't easy to beat him and he was 58 years old! I wish the same for your husband! Please let us know about how things progress for him. I hope your grandson is feeling better. Andrea

Guest guest
HI Andrea, Thank You. Bill is home. They did go back in to check if it was from the surgery, then while they were in there they finished the job. We still don't know what caused this to happen. He seems to be doing good. My grandson is back to normal. He got to help his mother watch my twin grandaughter 1 1/2 yrs. He had fun with them. This time I wasn't going to do the driving, so my son took me to pick up his father. With him driving I was sure more relaxed. Hugs Nancy I wish the same for your husband! Please let us know about how things progress for him. I hope your grandson is feeling better. Andrea

Guest guest
Hi Rita, Normally I do grab my sandalwood or another oil. Even though I'm not a drinker, on the way back to the hospital, Knew we would get there before the ambulance, I stopped at a place, We ordered pizza for my grandson, I had a stiff shot. LOL The ambulance was there about 10 minutes ahead of us. Had I had the dogs backpack in the car, I always keep Sandalwood, Frankincense, and Patchouli in it. Everyone prayers must have been what got me through. Thank You so much. Hugs Nancy Bless your heart (and his too) Its hard to have someone you love in situations like this. Guest guest
Good Morning Debbie, Thank You. As we live in the country, I don't drive in the big citys like I use to. Thankfully (Knock On Wood) I am a good driver. But I sure felt better that my son took me to pick Bill up. I couldn't deal with that drive home again. Any time he come over to go somewhere with us, he does the driving. I'm not a good passenger in my car unless either Bill or our son are doing the driving. When the cop asked if I was alright to drive, my daughter also a good driver, She wanted to drive, glad the cop said okay it will probably keep your mind busy. Everyone thoughts and prayers sure helped. Hugs Nancy We will continue to keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if we can do anything. Guest guest
Hi Nancy: You are more than welcome. I understand trying to make sure hubby is okay and caring for your family, etc. comes first. I hope the doctor can adjust his meds, but there are times that it takes several attempts to get them just right, so hang in there. I hope he'll continue to improve. Please take care and let me know if I can do anything. You and your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Have a great day.
