Is anyone having weird problems with them? Such password being changed and

when submitting response to them that the address is bad.

If anyone has a phone # for Ebay at their fingertips, could you please send

it to me?

TIA

Hi Patty,

The number I have is 1-800-322-9266. I hope that works and your problem

gets fixed.

Take care,

Janice :)

Thanks - I called but they are closed. If I find that they are having

problems with a fraud group, I will inform our group here. What really started

all

of this was that they said they needed updated financial info and was

suspending my account. I didn't use the link as I have the sign in bookmarked

and

went that way. After updating info, I got another email with the same request

and that my account was being suspended a week or so later. As I was in the

middle of a couple transactions, I used the link thinking that maybe the system

wasn't recognizing the update, because I didn't use the link. Now I'm not

really sure where I updated the information. Hopefully after reaching them

tomorrow morning, the queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach will dissolve or

it's

off to the bank to change accounts and debit cards.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Hi Patty,

If you have any credit cards listed with Ebay, cancel them now. They now

have all your personal info and they will use it. Never click on any link like

that. Whoever has your info will try and use your credit cards and do an

identity theft. I am sorry that happened to you. I hope you get it fixed

soon.

Take care,

Janice

Sounds like the original email was a spam/fraud email.

If you still have it forward it to the spoof/fraud email and then follow up

with a call.

I got one similar fraud e-mail that was supposedly from Earthlink, my

ISP. I knew it was a fraud, but when it was addressed to " Darling

Earthlink Customer " I REALLY knew *lol*

Good luck getting this all resolved Patti. Get your bank info and other

info such as passwords changed ASAP!

This particular email was a fraud. I got the same one twice just like

you

did. Ebay or Paypal will never address this type of email to Dear

Customer, they

will use your name. I really hope you get this straightened out soon,

and

nothing has happened.

When ever you have one of those e-mails from ebay or paypal, send then

to either spoof or spoof they will write you right

back to confirm that your post was genuine or not.

If you have answered any of those letters that say that the will

suspend your account, RUN, change your password, ID etc. Cancel your

credit cards, change your bank account and call the Credit bureau to

put a fraud alert on you account.

Hi, call your bank, asap and have them freeze your cards, explain the

situation, and they can freeze your account immediately for you.

When all is resolved, they can unfreeze your cards OR they can issue you

another set under another account number. All banks have 24/7 customer

service for this sort of thing.

Good luck

Carol
