Guest guest
PS: Forgot something .. the Governor said that George W. Bush would be the President of the Republic of Texas .. but I forgot to mention that Willie Nelson is gonna be Vice President, Charlie Daniels will be the Secretary of Defense, David Allen Coe will be Secretary of State. ;-) And the Dixie Chicks will be burned at the stake?????? Guest guest
Hi Rhavda, Third try .. is bouncing me 3-4 times a day now. ;-) > Dear Butch, > As a Texan I have enjoyed your letter from our governor, Mr. Rick Perry, > to all to get out and VOTE TODAY! Glad I am .. hope folks do get out and do same. > I already have been to the polls and cast my vote early this morning. My > husband went at 7 AM and had to wait 45 minutes because of the turnout. I > went at 9 AM and they had divided the line up alphabetically and I only had > to wait 25 minutes instead of an hour. Good show .. both of you feel better now .. I am sure. :-p > If this is any indication of the turnout across the nation, then it means > that somewhere, somehow people have gotten the message - if you don't vote > then you don't have a say in how things are run. I was number 164 and the > line was still going out the door when I left and it is cold and rainy here > in the Dallas/Fort Worth area so I am glad to people still getting out there > to vote. > > Remember people - Get out there and VOTE! Yep .. that they should. And I believe this will be a banner year for the number of voters. I just hope there is a decisive victory .. sure would be nice to be able to avoid all the hassle of having the courts or the Congress determine who the next president will be. > Butch, I would love to have you move here and become a part of our great > state. Thankee ma'am. :-) Texas and Texicans have always been dear to me. As a lover of American history I know that Texas .. and the Kentucky-Ohio area are probably the bloodiest grounds in America. Every square yard was fed by the blood of settlers who just wouldn't let go .. a very proud history awaits those who want to read on the subject. I was stationed at Ft. Bliss (in El Paso) twice and liked it a lot. And as I wrote a month or so back .. during this last trip I almost bought a retirement home in Willis, north of Houston .. on Lake Arrowhead. Well it might be that Texas is the place I decide to hang my hat. > Rhavda Emison Thankee mucho .. and y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch PS: Forgot something .. the Governor said that George W. Bush would be the President of the Republic of Texas .. but I forgot to mention that Willie Nelson is gonna be Vice President, Charlie Daniels will be the Secretary of Defense, David Allen Coe will be Secretary of State. ;-) >>Butch Owen has told me he is looking for a place to retire.
