canola oils and soapmaking

thanks for the helpful hints on the canola oil and soap making -

will check out the links and figure out to do with all of it -

maybe I'll just buy a few more 'oils' and slowly use up the

canola I have.

I also heard that canola oil is no longer considered healthy to

use as cooking? anyone else?

I never chirped in on the beginning of this thread, but use canola up to 1/3

of my oils with no problem... I really like the feel of this oil in soap...

as to the health aspect of it... there is much misinformation on canola oil

as some consider it rapeseed oil... they are totally different beasts. I

don't believe that it is genetically modified or anything like that, but

bred or pollinated to what it is today. It is a healthy oil IMHO :-)
