Herb Of The Week - Chaste - Vitex

Hi Folks,

 

Since its been brought up here recently - I've decided that the herb of

the week this week (October 25-31) is - Chaste a.k.a. Vitex (Vitex

agnus-castus)

 

All this week I will post various info about vitex, and I hope that

anyone who has any personal experience with this plant will not hesitate

to post about it :-D

I read about this essential oil in a magazine last year - it was the Colorado

research done amongst menopausal women sniffing bottles of leaf and fruit oils

and it seemed so amazing I immediately bought a bottle. My only consistent

experience is personal rather than with clients. I always use it when I see my

therapy buddy and I'm pre-menstrual. She's a big 'witch' anyway so I usually

come away 'flying' (!)but when we use Vitex we both fly! It is amazing. It gives

me a big 'buzz' just smelling the bottle. It certainly works for mood swings for
