Guest guest
Just a quick thank you to Chris and everyone else who posts about the herb of the weeek - and other info. I learn ALOT here! Our shop sponsors an herbal cooking contest at the Iowa State Fair every year - it's tons of fun and we get to eat oodles of delicious herbal foods. This year we had a yummy stevia cookie entered, I'm glad to pass along the recipe. Crimson & Gold Stevia Nuggets 1/2 c. softened unsalted butter 2 tsp. " white " stevia powder (4 packets) 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. Grand Marnier liquor 1 tbsp. fresh grated orange zest 1/4 cup. toasted shredded coconut 1/4 cup golden raisins 1/4. cup dried cranberries 1/2 cup flour 1 c. " quick " oatmeal 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. soda Combine butter, stevia, egg, vanilla, orange zest and Grand Marnier. In separate bowl, mix flour, oatmeal, salt, baking soda, raisins, coconut and cranberries. Add butter mixture and mix well until all ingredients are combined. Drop by spoonful onto a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350. Cool on a wire rack. Makes 15-18 nuggets. -maggie www.prairielandherbs.com
Guest guest
Sounds yummy Maggie Mae. I live in N.H. and don't know where to get stevia powder. Can you help so I may try the recipe? Guest guest
Have you tried your local health food store? I have sources for bulk stevia, but unless you want to make approximately a billion cookies, you'll just need a little bit!! -maggie prairielandherbs.com -- In , " rhonda nellson " <bella@n...> wrote: > > Sounds yummy Maggie Mae.
