I was told that Fatcatcandleco.com was too long, so I bought purrfinicky.com which I'm setting up. THEN I was told Fatcat was better. >sigh< I'm confused. so, opinions please... and best make it off list so as not to clogg up everything. I appreciate any comments you might have Cheers! Guest guest Posted October 15, 2004 Report Share Posted October 15, 2004 I think there's really no " right " or " wrong " thing here ... if I thought I would have to type the URL every time I wanted to visit your site, then I would be concerned about the length. However, most of the sites I visit are from 1) my Favorites, 2) links sent by friends or in list mail, 3) links in Search Engine results, 4) other similar non-typing methods. I don't think I would remember that purrfinicky.com is associated with Fat Cat Candles ... but I might ... I have finally remembered that EDLuce is really essentialsupplies.com. Also, our beloved " List-Mom " has a pretty long web name ... AND I have to remember to use the country-fied way of spelling old (no " d " ). I would not worry about which name you choose ... just do all the right things to get it found by the search engines. And, Tip #1 is that having " candle " in the URL is a good thing. JMHO ... Purrfinicky is also a great name, but could be confusing to spell... Only problem with both is, they don't point immediately to a certain product... I liked Woobey queen....
