Guest guest
Not like any birth is truly un-natural .. not even " test tube babies " .... but I was wondering how many folks here have gone through, or are considering going through the process of what is known as " natural birthing " .. pretty much meaning doing it the old fashioned way .. from conception to birth - without any medical interventions. Of course, as with many thing in life, baby can decided to want a different route than mama wants ... some mamas want a " natural birth " and baby decides they want to be cesarean-ed out .. some mamas want an epidural and baby decides to come out before mama can even get out of the car and into the hospital ... Those kids can really have minds of their own (how dare they ... but how many gals here PLAN or PLANNED on natural birth (and did it happen)? And, what did you use for coping methods (birth balls, massage, herbs, oils, beating up your partner - *lol * just kidding on that last choice)? *Smile* Chris (list mom - mama of 2 boys, both unmedicated births, one a water/homebirth - both the loves of my life) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
Guest guest
I tried to do my second naturally (my first, I was young and naïve, epidurals is what they did so that is what I did) He was a totally natural birth, even though I wanted something at the time, they didn’t have time. LOL Then he was rushed to the children’s hospital due to complications. My third they wanted to watch me closely because I had had an appendectomy 3 weeks earlier and had a kidney stone. Then my 4th ended up being stillborn and I didn’t think I could go through labor for that so I had an epidural. So, I admire those who are able to do it naturally but I don’t think it will ever happen for me. Guest guest
My first was w/epi, dr wouldn't let me go natural since he was my first and posterior breech, 2nd natural and thought I was going to die, 3-5 w/epi's, and if and when we get #6 that one will be born with and epidural also. No thanks to the natural child birth. Rahnny
Guest guest
All 3 of mine were natural births. I did have dr. care during pregnancy, but no drugs during delivery. We used the LaMaze (sp??) method. Wouldn't have considered any other way.
