Guest guest
Dale, I don't feel brave, I feel scared!! My poodle had a seizure yesterday while I was getting ready to leave for an appointment with a therapist. Husband took her to the vet - I called the vet's office as when I got to the vet's office to tell them what was going on at home. The stress she is under, etc. I found out I would be able to get to the vet's close to the time she would be there. I arrived just as husband was getting into his vehicle with the poodle, he told me they gave her a shot of valium and some Phenobarbital. I went into the vet's office and was able to chat with him for a moment. Husband said nothing about the stress, said everything was just fine. Vet told me he wanted to calm her down with the valium, then a reduced dosage of the pheno - I asked if Rescue Remedy could help and he said that might be a good idea, when the dosage reduces and there are no more seizures. I was doing a lot of praying for her when faced with the choice of her at the Dr. without me. Thank you Dale for your kind and thoughtful encouragement. Hugs, Buffy You are one brave soul. . Remember to live each day for that day. As the wisdom goes: the way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time or getting to the top of the mountain starts with the first step.
