Guest guest
Sorry for the cross-posting, but I am really in a bind and am asking all the lists I can think of that I'm on..... I am in the middle of making a batch of liquid soap. For the first time I added rosin. My stick blender got really hot, so I transferred the batch to my kitchenaid. I now have WHIPPED liquid soap. What do I do with it? Will this be sort of a whipped cream soap?????? Oh, bother! This is what's in it: jojoba oil soybean oil coconut oil rosin distilled water potassium hydroxide (KoH) Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Cindy, This one is a little late I've never used rosin, except on my bass fiddle bow <grinz>, so I can't say much about that ... I think it was Georgia says that she uses her Kitchenaid to make liquid soap, but I haven't done that either, so once again, I'm no help ;-p . I use my stick blender for a couple minutes, and then leave it alone for a while and then come back, stick blend for a couple minutes, go away again, and on and on till its ready to go in the oven If you have whipped cream soap - that is great! Folks go bonkers to figure a way to make that stuff! (I use an " easy " some would call it " cheat " method for that and I personally think its better than any of the " special method " recipes I see for it out there and on lists dedicated to it) If it does stay whipped, hey, you've made a special holiday offering - that might be a one time shot *lol* *Smile* Chris (list mom - going to get caffeine Many Wonderful New & Sale Items Including Muscovado Sugar http://www.alittleolfactory.com Pittstown Soapworks, LLC [guinness97] Sorry for the cross-posting, but I am really in a bind and am asking all the lists I can think of that I'm on..... Guest guest
Now I'm wondering if I even need to " cook " it - I do the paste method, and I'm curious about what would happen, but the chicken in me just makes me sit here and look at it - hoping it will morph into a paste on its own so I don't have to make a decision! In the meantime, it's probably already ready to use, since it's been over a week! lol Thanks, Chris.....better late than never! I'm still looking for answers to this enigma.
