herbal bath for fungus

Hi All,

Though not strictly " herbal " , I have used an old antifungal remedy for

athlete's foot (also used in dogs for interdigital dermatitis):

Copper sulphate 2.5g

Zinc sulphate 2.5g

Water ....... to 100ml

Shake until the salts are dissolved

Dabble toes in a few ml of the mix, or apply to fungus-affected area with a

cotton-bud every 2 days for 2-3 times.

It can be great, but stings like hell if the skin is cracked. Some people

recommend alum (aluminum sulfate) and / or aluminum chloride solution for

foot / toenail fungus.

PS: Copper sulphate ( " bluestone " ) spray was used to treat fungal infection in

plants [potato blight and fungus infection of grapevines and appletrees] in

the past.

Traditionally, farmers mixed the bluestone with washing soda to help

adhesion to the sprayed plants.

Best regards,
