Guest guest
Hey Patricia! Jack Ass Bitters - That sounds interesting! Do you have a latin or botanical name? A commercial supplier would be great also. I'm a long trek away from for Belize! Any info or decocting and dose you can share? I have developed a number of formulas and rinses for my equine clients for the usual girth itch, scratches and thrush with heat clearing herbs and essential oils. I'd love to experiment with Jack Ass Bitters on my own herd. Also for the toe nail fungus issue: I have used Herbal ABX (Evergreen) and DMSO to good effect. Be well!! gg Gloria Garland L.Ac., Dipl. Alternatively, any suggestions for herbal formulas. I know it depends on the pattern...she has dampness, heat...it seems candida like - it is aggrevated by wine and sweets! > Any info, internal or external would be greatly appreciated. > >
Guest guest
Patricia Other experience from local herbal practitioners are that Jack Ass Bitters are not that great. I was in Belize in April and a friend (local practitioner) showed that cold press coconut oil mixed with Zhang Nao is the best to kill not only fugus...but much more. I have heard her speak at Medicines from the Earth Conference. Sorry, I need to bring the herb with me, I got this herb because it is not found further north than Belize and is their number one product for fungus.....and they have fungus in the jungle. We get horses with fungal infections and here in the humid southeast needed to know about this herb. There are so many side effects with the antifungal drugs and the cost that looking for an herb was obvious. Guest guest
Well, I use the Jack Ass Bitters in a salve called Jungle Salve and it works fine on humans. The dry herb in the brown bags works great on the horses, that is a lot of body mass to cover trying to use coconut oil.....so to each his own. Here in the south, Jack Ass Bitters in a wash works well and is less expensive than it would cost to try and cover the lesions on the horses...... the Jungle Salve worked on my foot fungus between the toes and I never had to do soaks.
