Guest guest
Hi, I would be interested to hear of practitioners' experiences in assisting with the engagement of the baby's head between 40 and 41 weeks. Bett's suggests the use of Kunlun, or moxa at Zhiyin for malposition which I'm supposing non-engagement could be seen as. Have practitioners used both in the same treatment? At this stage, have practitioners sent the client home with moxa for self treatment at Zhiyin? Any other suggestions? Thanks, Ann. _______________ : Thanks for 10 great years—enjoy free winks and emoticons. http://clk.atdmt.com/UKM/go/157562755/direct/01/
Guest guest
How about K-1... as down as it can get. But also if this is a first baby it is normal for the head to not be engaged until the last few days, unlike in multigravidae where the head descends 2 weeks before birth. Since you say 40 to 41 weeks there could be an uncertainty in dates. Check for cervix ripening and effacement to gauge the progress. Once that happens the labor will too, and the baby will come down... as long as the head is presenting. Hence i suppose, the usefuleness of engagement! Also Metal goes down... have her do abdominal breathing ~~~..... try Lu-7 ~ strange idea but i've had good luck with similar stuff. Perfect season! Good luck and in doubt consult your local midwife:) Genevieve. ________________________________ Ann Brownbill <Annbrownbill Chinese Traditional Medicine Sunday, August 16, 2009 9:58:59 PM Engagement of baby's head Hi, I would be interested to hear of practitioners' experiences in assisting with the engagement of the baby's head between 40 and 41 weeks.
