Hi Sarah,

You've already had 2 children so your uterus can carry a pregnancy, but

obviously it isn't easy, so I would personally think that if it were me,

after visiting with the docs and getting an inclusive diagnosis and

prognosis, I'd be best to look into herbs that generally strengthen that

whole system and those body parts.

It sounds like an issue a friend of mine had, which was some hormonal

imbalances that were taken care of naturally for her ....

Talking to a more holistic doc might be helpful too! In the group's

links sections we have listings of various kinds of " naturally minded "

professionals:

http://health./links

Look in the " Alternative Health Links " folder .... in many cases, even

the docs that don't take insurance can be billed as out of network

physicians and a portion of their expenses can be covered (my home birth

by a direct entry midwife was covered at 70%!) and I have found they are

well worth it!

My herbology school book is STILL packed up from the Hurricane Rita

evacuation attempt (I know, lame! ;) .. but I distinctly recall my

teacher always talking about False Unicorn Root (Chamaelirium luteum)

being so VERY fortifying for the reproductive system and good for

fertility (both female and male).

Red Raspberry Leaf is also known for its very beneficial assistance to

the reproductive system before and during pregnancy, but some do caution

to not use it during the first trimester, so if there were truly doubt

and worried, I'd probably stick to using it before getting pg and then

after week 12 just to be safe. But when one does use it, it can be drunk

in copious quantities according to my teacher (3 cups a day or more).

Good luck and have fun making more babies! <grinz>

Re: Pregnancy and Use of Essential Oils

I have for years and years had problems with miscarriages. I had my 1st

son

at 17 and now my 2nd after being married for 8 years and trying to have

a

baby for 7 of them just had another baby.

The Drs are still not 100% sure why I miscarry within the first 3 weeks.

But we do want another one.

Does anyone have any thoughts or advice since all this pergo talk?

Hi all, I have recently become pregnant which I'm thrilled about. But at age 42

I am needing to be extra careful. I have worked with pregnant women a fair

amount and have picked up some good nuggets of information. But I thought it

would be smart to post on here and see if anyone has their own clinical pearls

to share regarding pregnancy and delivery. So, I'm not really asking anything

specific but thought I'd see about benefiting from the vast experience on this

board. Without Chinese herbs for me and my husband (who had poor morphology) I

am certain that I never would have conceived.

Thanks for any ideas!
