Guest guest
HI Alon and all: Here is a link that questions the validity of vaccination in adults for pneumococcus, as a counterpoint to your positive study for children. There is a follow up rebuttal to the link I've posted which of course says that the metanalysis is not sufficiently compelling blah blah blah. We can always find stuff like that. What I find interesting is that clearly negative studies exist. Shouldn't be happening I think. Then I also think about Ioannidis who stated that statistically speaking, a certain percentage of studies are going to be right or wrong simply based on chance. The name of his paper: " Are most published findings false? " Anyway, here's the link from CMAJ: http://www.ecmaj.ca/cgi/content/abstract/180/1/48 Thanks, Hugo ________________________________ Hugo Ramiro http://middlemedicine.wordpress.com http://www.chinesemedicaltherapies.org ________________________________ alonmarcus2003 <alonmarcus Chinese Medicine Friday, 12 June, 2009 18:12:55 vaccine http://cme.medscape .com/viewarticle /703917?src= mpnews & spon= 34 & uac=11546SK
Guest guest
Hi all - I just reread Julian Scott's chapter on immunization, from his book, Acupuncture in the Treatment of Children. He does a nice job presenting on the topic in a calm, non-emotional way. He gives a clear description of vaccines and how they work (allopathic view), and states that most vaccinations are for diseases that are not that prevalent in the developed countries, and some diseases are actually beneficial in that they strengthen the immune system. Essentially he says that, while he and his colleagues are against immunization, he wants parents to understand the enormous pressure they'll be under if they choose not to vaccinate, and he wants practitioners to think about this: if you advise against vaccination, are you available (or are there other alternative practitioners available) to treat the child should s/he become ill? k Karen R. Guest guest
pertussis vaccination can turn off the WBC like a switch and then what do you think the chances are that a dysregulated immune system succumbs to bacterial pneumonia? In vet medicien we know that if you inject a parainfluenza vaccine, all you do is allow that individual to be immune supressed in the ability to have cellular immunity to help with bacterial pneumonias, most of the little pups vaccinated this way end up with hacking cough and one that leads right to bacterial pneumonias....these they would never have sufferred had not the vaccinologists gotten the jab into them, into their immature systems to begin with. I have research papers on what the viruses are capable of doing to the immune system just as a matter of immune cell virus interaction, we are holding onto toilet paper thinking these medical acts are delivering preventative health care.
