I think from your patients reaction she is very scared. I am not a US

acupuncturist, however I assume that all the forms need to be signed to

cover you. Probably for your patient every form, test result, and meeting

with a medic, will bring up fear of her illness. If you come from this

understanding with her then you will be half way to getting the rapport you

are going to need to see her through this difficult journey she is will to

have to take.

I have treated a number of patients with various forms of malignancies and

the one thing that is common to all of them is the fear and obsession that

is built up by the diagnosis and prognosis which has necessarily had to be

given to them by their doctors. This in itself sets them on course to just

accepting the diagnosed outcome of the disease, and is likely to lead them

on the road to giving up and taking whatever is dished out to them. Your

patient needs help on this level too. I have found two simple treatment

from 5 Element acupuncture helps enormously with this. The first is what

they call EDs and if necessary IDs, and secondly the AE drain,. I have seen

some remarkable changes in my patients with cancer. Even if its just being

able to live life without being in total fear. Especially in those that

are truly willing to fight the disease by checking out for themselves , and

carrying out ways to get themselves healthy. I know I may be shot down in

flames , but we may be talking about someone's life so I have risked

saying this. If you have a 5 Element practitioner around ask them about the

diagnostic skills required and how to do these treatments. They have been

genuine life savers in several of my patients who are still around today.

I have also seen several cases where the MD said you will die from this, this is

terminal, and they went from pretty darn healthy to gone in months, and thier

spirit led. Not to say this isn't sometimes experiential wisdom, but for some, a

little encouragement can give the boost to overcome.

I would like to ask that we not alter posts without mentioning it. My name

appears on one of the ones below yet I failed to write it. It would be a lot

easier to respond when we know who said what. Thanks in advance.

Mystir,

I am unsure who chopped up the email response below but I found my name in it

suggesting that I posted some of it. As I had not, I am only asking that we do

a better job of condensing posts and removal of those parts that are inaccurate.

I am sure that no one wants to be taken out of context or accused of saying

something that they did not. Thanks for your understanding.
