Another place to look at... the brain...

connected to the spinal cord investigation.

This critical area (atlas/axis C1-C2) is the meeting area between the

brain-stem

and the spine. Some chiropractors choose only to adjust this area.

Du 16 and Du 15 are located in access areas of C2 (*Axis*) and C3

Both of these points are where the Yang wei channel crosses

The Yang wei (linking) connects the yang of the body

Also, both Du 15 Ya Men " Gate of Muteness " and Du 16 Feng Fu " Wind Palace "

are *Window of the Heaven points*

C1 (*Atlas)* is only palpated transversely from the side around SJ 16.

SJ 16 Tian You " Celestial Orbit " is a Window of the Heaven point

One can argue that GB 20 can access C1 as well,

which is a crossing of the Yang qiao and Yang wei

The Yang qiao enters the brain (brain stem in this case),

while the Yang wei connects the yang of the body.

The Du holds the yang of the body from the spine.

GB 20 Feng Chi " Wind Pool " and Du 16 Feng Fu " Wind Palace "

both have * " Wind* " present in their names and functionality.

Wind signs are often brain type issues... epilepsy, spasms, shaking etc.

Both of these points are crossing for the Yang wei vessel.

GB 20 is also a crossing point for the Yang Qiao,

which enters the brain.

Du 17 Nao Hu " Brain Door " is located superior to the EOP

in a place directly above the brain stem.

Du 20 Bai Hui " Hundred Meetings " and Du 16 are both *Sea of Marrow points*

where there is access to the brain and with Wind-type indications

The other channels that enter the brain are LV, UB,

Du, Yin qiao, Yang qiao

*To summarize...*

the point names and functions (Wind-based),

point categories (Window of Heaven, Sea of Marrow)

and point crossing areas (Yang qiao, Yang wei, Du, UB)

around the base of the skull draw us an interesting picture and

more food for thought........
