If you want to check out the fluorine content of any drug: (1) Find out its generic name - the name of the active compound. (2) Find out its CHEMICAL FORMULA Then search Google with the trade name, or generic name, or formula, combined with the term fluorine OR fluoride. For example, Prozac has the chemical formula: C17H18F3NO. WWW gives its molecular weight as: 309. It has 3 F atoms (atomic weight of F = 18). Therefore, the F% in Prozac = (100 * 309) / (3 * 18) = 17.45%.
