Guest guest
I have been using them for ten years or so, and have been happy with their herbs. The are the correct species and most often they are sulfur and chlorine free. I have purchased from many distributors, and many herb shops here in NY Chinatown. For the most part, Mayway's herbs are better. Guest guest
Although I have also heard rumors here and there, when it comes down to it, I have always been quite impressed with Mayway's quality. I would like to hear if anyone has any concrete problems with their equality, and if so which company they prefer. Also though, I don't think the US gets the top quality herbs anyway. -Jason Chinese Medicine Chinese Medicine On Behalf Of Kath Bartlett, MS, LAc Saturday, April 18, 2009 7:35 AM Chinese Medicine Source for Bai Mu Er (white wood ear)/mayway quality? what are your opinions about the quality of mayway herbs? i have been under the impression that the qualitiy is questionable, not first grade. this may be due to biases of instructors at acu college. k On Fri, Apr 17, 2009 at 6:24 PM, Douglas Knapp <knappneedleman <knappneedleman%40> >wrote: > > > Mayway has the conventional grade in stock. > > Douglas > > ________________________________ > > " " <acukath <acukath%40gmail.com> <acukath%40gmail.com>> > PCOM Alumni <alumni <alumni%40pacificcollege.edu> <alumni%40pacificcollege.edu>> > Cc: TCM List <Chinese Traditional Medicine <Chinese Traditional Medicine%40> <Chinese Traditional Medicine%40> > > > Friday, April 17, 2009 5:33:51 PM > Source for Bai Mu Er (white wood ear)? > > does anyone know where i might be able to find bai mu er (white wood ear)? > > appreciatively, > > k > > -- > > Oriental Medicine > Experienced, Dedicated, Effective > > Kath's Blog about , Healthy Living & Spirituality: > http://acukath. blogspot. com/ > > Flying Dragon Liniment: Effective pain relief for muscles & joints > Formulated by Kath Bartlett, Traditional Chinese Herbalist > Available at Asheville Center for : > www.FlyingDragonLin iment.com > > and from the following supply companies: > Kamwo Herbal Pharmacy: NY - Chinatown > https://www. kamwo.com/ shop/product. php?productid= 17442 & cat= 0 & page=1 > > Golden Needle Acupuncture, Herbal & Medical Supply - Candler, NC > http://www.goldenne edleonline. com/index. php?page= categories & category= > 14 & vendor= & product= 5554 & pg= > > Asheville Center For > 70 Woodfin Place, Suite West Wing Two > Asheville, NC 28801 828.258.2777 > kbartlett@Acupunctu reAsheville. com > www.AcupunctureAshe ville.com > >
Guest guest
Kath, I use Mayway for powdered herbs unavailable through KPC. I don't have a large amount in stock but I appreciate being able to get things I cannot get through KPC, and I found formulations to be effective. I've attended several seminars at Mayway and they seem quite proud of their quality control standards, so you could check out the details on their website. If you are looking for organic I just received info. on a new company called Blue Dragon Herbs. If you are willing to use tinctures KW Botanicals are top of the line, and Asia Naturals also carries chemical free (unsprayed herbs). Hope that helps. Marnie R. McCurdy, L.Ac.
