Guest guest
If you go to www.acupuncturetoday.com and go to the April 2009 issue, you will see an article " Bonghan Channels in Acupuncture " which sets forth some interesting information about the Bonghan structures. You have to pull up the April issue or just search for Bonghan. I read the article and it seems clear; maybe has a little new information in it. I know some of you are interested. Guest guest
A very interesting article indeed. I remember Jake Fratkin, at a seminar in Santa Fe, back in the late 1990's, remarking about seeing some Russian guys light up acpoints with some sort of device somewhere in Colorado. He said the ponts were lighting up just where they were supposed to. And that the Bongham meridians may be a source of adult stem cells is exciting. I pretty sure the author of the article meant micrometers instead of millimeters in describing the size of red blood cells, etc. Peace, Jon Chinese Medicine , RoseAnne Spradlin <ra6151 wrote: > > > If you go to www.acupuncturetoday.com and go to the April 2009 issue, > you will see an article " Bonghan Channels in Acupuncture " which sets > forth some interesting information about the Bonghan structures. > > > You have to pull up the April issue or just search for Bonghan. Guest guest
I would like to add that there has been many an article published by Dr Soh and his team as well as others on the works of Dr Kim Bonghan. They are finding a lot that appears to be similar to what the classic mention about the channel theory. If anyone knows about other info on this, I would appreciate an email on it as I am collecting data on this subject. Thanks Michael W. Guest guest
Just a question... in the article... it talks about the size of the vessels and blood cells in mm... They're talking about micrometers right? Guest guest
John, I do believe that was a typo in the article. The referenced data refers to measurements in micrometers. Having corresponded with the author in the past, I would suspect either the word processing program " helped " , or Acupuncture Today transcribed it incorrectly. Guest guest
Jamey, Thanks for the confirmation... I hope that we don't quote the size of the vessels in mm in front of the medical establishment. That would look really bad. I think that acupuncturetoday should publish one of those.. oops there was a typo statements in their next issue. Guest guest
John & Jamey, Thanks for pointing out the small, mm typo in my article on Bonghan channels (only a difference of a magnitude of 1,000). In my original article I wrote out " micrometer " because I couldn't find a ì symbol on my computer. The AT editor abbreviated it as mm and I had not noticed it yet. Guest guest
David, I was sure that it was an AT typo... editors sometimes can make mistakes too. Thanks for the article.
