Guest guest
Location and Clinical Use of the Acupuncture Channels (Jing Luo) with Niki Bilton We will be exploring the network of acupuncture channels, focusing on the vertical jing pathways (12 primary meridians, 12 divergent channels & Ren/Du vessels) and horizontal luo pathways (15 great connecting channels, 12 muscle channels, minute/superficial/blood connecting channels & the cutaneous regions). Beyond understanding the function of each individual system & its role in the unified meridian web, we will concentrate on the clinical application of the theory for treatment at all levels of the bodymindspirit. The two day workshop will draw on classical theory to enhance clinical understanding, with an experiential component to immediately widen practical skills and application. Point selection to treat channel issues will be discussed in detail. The three day practicum will be entirely experiential, focusing on the development of channel palpation, accurate location of the channels and application of appropriate treatment techniques, with extensive tutor feedback. The focus will be on branches of the primary channels, and the divergent, luo and sinew channels, as these are likely to be less clinically familiar to participants than the main meridians.
