Guest guest
Dear colleagues, I am reaching out for a friend with Spinal Cord injury, in need of acupuncture care. Kirk is a strong, vibrant, and amazingly self-less human being. A devoted long-time high-school P.E. teacher (Michigan state PE Teacher-of-the-year and Innovator-of-the-year) who has donated thousands of hours giving to the community. Late in 2008, a serious accidental fall left him with fractured C4-5, unconscious, and instantly paraplegic. He laid on the ground for 6.5 hours before he was found. His recovery thus far has been nothing short of miraculous. All friends and family have been amazed by his positive attitude towards this catastrophic injury. http://www.symbolofstrength.com/ Because budget is an issue (first year expense is $200,000 for a guy with a teacher's salary), I would like to reach out to the community to see if there is a way for him to receive free or low-cost acupuncture in Grand Rapids area. As we all know, the sooner we can get acupuncture treatment to the patient, the better his chances of recovery. Does anybody have recommendations for how he might be able to gain access to low-cost acupuncture care? Might the school in Grand Rapids be an option? I appreciate any of your suggestions. Guest guest
The school in Grand Rapids is a 6 month program not accredited, very controversial. A big source of contention politically. --- On Mon, 3/23/09, Edith Chan, L.Ac. <chineseherbs wrote: Edith Chan, L.Ac. <chineseherbs young Spinal Cord patient in Grand Rapids Michigan seeks acup.
