Guest guest
Sorry if this is a repeat... I sent it out last night but I don't think it went through... Does anyone have any experience treating bartholin cysts? Any luck? Any suggestions? Thanks! Ariel
Guest guest
One of my colleagues used ren1 for this condition and it worked fairly fast. I have not had any experience. -Steve Stephen Bonzak, L.Ac., Dipl. Guest guest
Hi. Along with Mr. Bonzak's Ren1 ac.pt. recommendation, sitz baths w or w/o herbs in the bath water is something the person can do themselves to help resolve this. --- On Fri, 3/20/09, Stephen Bonzak <stephenbonzak wrote: Stephen Bonzak <stephenbonzak Re: bartholin cyst Chinese Medicine Friday, March 20, 2009, 6:16 PM One of my colleagues used ren1 for this condition and it worked fairly fast. " Hi Ariel my past experience as an RN in a gynaecology unit reminds me that when these become infected - they become an abcess - a woman can end up in dreadful pain, and may require surgical excision & drainage, and intravenous antibiotics. Worth keeping at the back of one's mind! TCM Phlegm-Damp? Damp-Heat? Spleen xu? .... and appropriate herbal formulae Liver channel pathology. Home self-care warm sitz [salt water] baths several times a day, followed by a gentle massage of the cyst, to promote drainage. A paste made from pure water and French green argelitz clay [ many natural cosmetic and aromatherapy companies sell this ] can be applied. It will feel cool, and the green clay has 'drawing' properties. Easily rinsed off once it's dried. Good personal hygiene. Some suggest safe sex / condoms - assuming intercourse will not cause the woman discomfort or pain. Hope this helps Margi
