Guest guest
Hi All, I cannot find a good translation for the Hanzi character " Zheng " in the string " Poxue XIaozheng Yao " [smash Xue & Lessen ZHENG?? Meds " . See the penultimate character within the five-character string at http://tinyurl.com/cs652l Do you know what is means in TCM? Wenlin indicates that the above Zheng character is the same as another Zheng character, meaning Pattern / Syndrome; evidence; levy but that makes no sense to me in the context above. Best regards,

Phil, I think this is just a typo for the character zheng & #30309; & #65292; which has a disease radical. This is translated as " concretions " by Wiseman, it is a type of lower abdominal mass typically associated with blood stasis. Eric
Guest guest
Hi Phil, The character 'zheng' in that sentence is actually the wrong character- it should be inside a 'illness' radical. It is the same 'zheng' as 'zheng jia ji ju' (Wiseman: Concretions, conglomerations, accumulations, and gatherings). I think the problem is that a lot of computers are not able to display (or input) that character correctly. It is often written (incorrectly) like this-> http://tinyurl.com/dbwjon Regards, Henry , " " < wrote: > > Hi All, > > I cannot find a good translation for the Hanzi character " Zheng " in > the string " Poxue XIaozheng Yao " [smash Xue & Lessen ZHENG??
