Guest guest
Hi Lee I had a similar problem with a patient last year. It sounds as if your patient may be going down the same route. It is most important that you check if her medication is affecting her. With my patient no matter how much I tried using TCM acupuncture where I was constantly treating for Liver blood deficiency and wind, her condition would improve for a couple of days and then get worse again. Her GP diagnosed her with Parkinson's without getting this confirmed by a neurologist, then added Parkinson's medication to an already vast mix of Bp medication and medication for depression after a bereavement . I was not happy with the fact that the onset of her symptoms were not typical with no pains or tremors developing in either of her arms or hands, or any sign of a Parkinson's shuffle, despite an increasingly severe tremor of her lips and head. Diagnostically her colour was becoming more and more sallow and green, and more blood deficient. Fortunately after I persuaded her to put some pressure on her GP to get a referral to a neurologist, the neurologist recognised that she didn't have Parkinson's, then took her off all her medication. Then Hey Presto! her head shaking began to stop of its own accord. The green sallow hue on her face has reverted back to her normal red hue, and the blood deficiency is nearly gone. Interestingly my patient also developed severe heartburn which was also an additional mix with the cocktail of drugs she was taking. This has also nearly disappeared. Good Luck Helene > OK!
