Guest guest
Radya, I just finished a class on insurance billing. Within Blue Cross there are many different policy groups and each one has its own policies on what it pays. The instructor implied that the most common coverage was for any type of pain other than emotional. Your patient's policy covers nausea from pregnancy and chemo. When you are not a preferred provider, the coverage would not change in any case, you are better off being paid by the patient and then filing the claim electronically as a courtesy to the client. You can use officeally.com for free to file the claim. There is an art to insurance billing and if you are going to provide that service, it is best to take a class from American Acupuncture Council.
