Guest guest
Just a comment on the hydrolized oats...It is my understanding that all hydrolized grains produces " free " glutamic acid.(officially called D-glutamic acid or MSG) This can be much more toxic to the body than the bound glutamic acid naturally found in food for a number of reasons, and labels do not always indicate the presence of " free " glutamates. As even low concentrations of this chemical can be very toxic to some people (especially babies and young children), it is worth investigating further if you are trying to use natural products for health and healing. http://www.msgmyth.com/ I also wasn't aware that glutamic acid is used as an antioxidant in cosmetics. BTW, the following link is a video by Dr. Rima Laibow who is campaigning to increase the level of awareness (and influence legislation) on the new " Codex " requirements that will affect our ability to buy natural health products or " clean " food, as of Dec. 31, 2009. If this doctor is correct in her information, Codex's new " rules " will bring back 7 of the 9 most deadly pesticides into agricultural use, as well as require " contamination " of all our plant and animal food sources. http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=-5266884912495233634 & hl=en Text information is available at http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/ Margaret R. Guest guest
I have a 5 month old patient with bad eczema. It is dry, red and itchy and covers her back, chest and parts of her legs and scalp. She has always had a sluggish bowel and is routinely constipated. Acupuncture has helped this somewhat and also helped sleep. She has been vaccinated Diagnosis - Internal Heat from Stagnation and retained pathogen. Failure of Blood to nourish the skin due to Phlegm Damp blockage? I think it is time to give her some herbs. Any ideas much appreciated. Guest guest
I have a similar patient. Kan has an herbal formula called " Colorful Phoenix Pearl Combo <http://www.kanherb.com/prac_pi_trad_product.asp?productNameId=1132> " that works really well for most eczema. Good luck! Guest guest
I have had amazing results with gua sha. I know it sounds crazy but it works. I will do a little spot to test and if it responds well I will treat all of the effected areas with gua sha. You do not want to get sha necessarily, nor do you want to scrape too hard. Just think you are releasing some heat. One of my favorite formulas is Dang gui yin zi wan. Though she sounds like she has more going on than that will treat. I have also had great results with Xiao Feng San. --- On Tue, 1/27/09, acugeorge <acugeorge wrote: acugeorge <acugeorge baby eczema Chinese Medicine Tuesday, January 27, 2009, 9:51 AM I have a 5 month old patient with bad eczema.
