Guest guest
Hi Yuliya: I see a lot of people with joint replacements. I find CM pattern differentiation works well. Hope that's helpful, Hugo ________________________________ Hugo Ramiro http://middlemedicine.wordpress.com http://www.chinesemedicaltherapies.org ________________________________ Yuliya Goldberg <ygold77 Chinese Medicine Thursday, 22 January, 2009 15:43:17 hip replacement Does anyone has experience treating patients after hip replacement. Guest guest
i'd use Tan balancing. you aren't specific, but i'm guessing the pain is at the troch. head/ GB channel affect. according to the balance system you would tx the SJ, HT or Liv meridians. SJ/Liv are tx c/l, you can do HT on either side you wish. palp the channels at the shoulder (SJ)/axilla (HT) or Inguinal groove (Liv) areas or the wrist/ankle for tenderness, weakness, tightness and release those areas. only tx 1 of the 3 channel options per tx, either at the hip/shoulder OR ankle/wrist. you can use several/many needles as indicated by palp. pain should diminish while the patient is on the table. you can have him walk around to reproduce pain, and then needle to release. if pain does not diminish after needling, try another channel or opposite end of channel (shoulder -->wrist), or the opposite side (for HT). for more, go to his website: drtanshow.com and order his book: acupuncture 1,2,3. good luck with it, Chinese Medicine On Thu, Jan 22, 2009 at 3:43 PM, Yuliya Goldberg <ygold77 wrote: > Does anyone has experience treating patients after hip replacement. > I have a patient he had a jip replacement 10 weeks ago and it is his left > hip. he been having firing sensation there. Guest guest
i have switched over to his system 100%. i have not done a TCM acu tx since prior to labor day. i'm sure you'll find the pain improves with balance technique. if it's not responding, you need to re-asses the dx because the system works. kath On Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 5:51 PM, Yuliya Goldberg <ygold77 wrote: > Hi Kath, > thank you so much for your reply.
