Is this injected into the omasum orifice or with an oral tube? I guess

Da Huang at 30 or 40 grams at a time would work.

Chinese veterinary treatment of Abomasum impaction, aka abomasum

Accumulation of Food [indigestion]: Abomasum impaction is dt vagus

nerve regulation Fx disorder / damage;

 

TxP is to Lessen Accumulation & Transform Stag, Protect against

Putridity [Antisepsis] & Ease Fermentation, Ease Pylorus Spasm,

promote abomasum contents elimination, prevent dehydration &

autointoxication, to enhance therapeutic effect;

 

WM Tx: in early stages of disease, one can use sulphate of sodium 300-

400g, liquid paraffin 500-1000ml, fish oil 20g, alcohol 50ml +

regular water 6-10L orally; abomasum injection w normal saline 1500-

2000ml; injection site in right abdomen abomasum area is behind lower

edge of ribs Number 12-13; in order to improve CNS regulating role,

increase ST-SI-LI Fx & strengthen HT movement / activity, one can use

200-300ml of 10% sodium chloride solution, 10ml of 20% caffeine

sodium solution by intravenous injection; for occurrence of

dehydration, should according to dehydration extent & nature

administer infusion, usually use 2-4L of 5% glucose saline, 10ml of

20% caffeine sodium injection, 30-40ml of 40% Urotropine injection

solution by intravenous injection; use 30ml of 10% vitamin C

Injection by intramuscular injection; moreover can use appropriate

local antibiotics / sulpha-type drugs to prevent secondary infection;

I suspect that the saline & WMs are used via the ST tube, direct into

abomasum, but the CHMs are probably given by mouth as a drench, or on

the feed.
