Guest guest
Has anyone treated this? I did look like a deer in headlights when a prospective patient walked in my office and asked, " Do you know what thalamic pain syndrome is, and can you treat it? " The word thalmus did not register right away as I was just about to leave and get a sandwich between my morning patients and evening. Brain cells were not firing. After some research and his (and his wife's) explaining, this is what I understand - after his stroke, his thalmus is giving off messages that he has pain and movement in his left arm. It can be sensitive to heat or cold and emotional distress. There is little that Western Medicine can do to treat it. I obviously am unable to do a diagnose on him right now. Just want to know if anyone has treated this, and how you went about it. There are some Colorpuncture protocols for the thalmus that I can also use. Any help would be appreciated.
