Hi,

I've been reading Jeffrey Jacob's book... The Acupuncturist's clinical

handbook.

He writes that there are points called the " Doorways to the earth " ....

Ren 1, Ren 4, ST 30, Liv 12, KD 11, UB 40, UB 35, GB 30, Du 1, Du 4, SP 12

but there is no explanation of the usage... Does anyone know how to use

these points together?

Also, he writes that there are Gu points...LI 4, Sp 7, ST 43, SI 2, SI 5, UB

66, KD 2, KD 10, KD 20, GB 8

Have you ever seen these?

Thanks,

K.

Do not rely upon the individual, but rely upon the teaching.

As far as teachings go, do not rely upon the words alone, but rely upon the

meaning that underlies them.

Regarding the meaning, do not rely upon the provisional meaning alone, but

rely upon the definitive meaning.

And regarding the definitive meaning, do not rely upon ordinary

consciousness, but rely upon wisdom awareness.

Hi

Most of the stuff you mention comes from Jeffrey Yuen AFAIK.

The window of heaven points are related to the stems and open the

portals ( sensory organs) so patient has a connection with what is

happening around, a better sense of connection with the Cosmos big shen)

Doorway to Earth points are related to the branches therefore earthly

matters and Jeffrey talks about using these points as elimination what

is no longer needed (things that are not part of one's authentic nature)

Actually there are many other points that can be counted as the doorway

to the earth points as there is no consensus.

Having said that I am 5E trained and my use of window of heaven points

are different to Jeffrey's teaching and quite frankly I had not tried

the doorway points as I do not feel I know enough of their functions (in

this aspect).

I have heard this in Jeffrey Yuens therapeutic actions of acupuncture

points. He builds images with the names of the points and shows how to

use names to have a better understanding of what the point is capable

of. It was just an example story he gave in the lecture. One can do a

similar approach with words " ling " and " shen " or " guan " per say.

Hope this helps
