Hi All-

My sister has just started volunteering at a residential senior facility, and

one of the things they asked is if she could find videos for teaching seated qi

gong or tai qi.  Can anyone recommend some?

Thank you,

Andrea Beth

I have always been a fan of Dr. Yang Jwing Ming. He has a nice dvd on 8 pieces

of brocade that includes both standing and seated.  The standing can be modified

easily for chair bound as well.

Be well,

Bob

Hi Andrea,

Dr. Yang, Jwung Ming has an excellent DVD or video of the " Eight Simple

Qigong Exercises for Health " . You can probably find it on Amazon.Com or from

Yang's Martial Arts. He does both standing and seated Qigong exercises and it is

very good. You can also try EastWestQi.com for Dr. Effie Poy Chow's Qigong on

DVD. Best of luck, it is a wonderful idea to teach Qigong to the seniors.. God

Bless..................Betty

8 Pieces of Brocade has a seated portion and a standing portion. The

seated portion can be done by itself.

There are many videos on this method of qigong. I have seen the

video by Dr. Yang Jwing-ming, and it is decent. He also has a

companion book. His website is http://ymaa.com
