Can anyone recommend a good TCM book with herbal and acu treatment for

emotional disorders (aside from Maciocia)? Thanks.

Bob Flaws has a great book out called something like Chinese Medical Psychiatry;

I think Lake is the name of the coauthor. I read it but can't find it right now.

A very good book to read is " Transforming emotions with ' by

Yanhua Zhang

 

From the introduction- " This book offers an ethnographic account of emotion

related disorders as they are understood, experienced and treated in the

clinics of Chinese medicine or zhongyi in contemporary China

" A very good book to read is " Transforming emotions with ' by

Yanhua Zhang "

 

I second Ray's opinion, and while the book does not contain detailed

acupuncture protocols or herbal formulations, it soundly shows that CM has a

fully developed system of " psychology " and discusses many of these concepts in

depth with reference to source materials as well as current clinicians. It is

one of my favourite clinical references.

 

" an illness due to emotion can only be completely cured by emotion " pg 103.
