Dear all,

I need advices for a 17 years old, female patient. 3 years ago she has been

hospitalized for a couples of days because of head trauma and only found

diffuse edema in brain. She has been medicated with carbamazepin 2x200mg

daily. She hadn't any seizure during 1 year. 1 year after trauma, it's

started whole body jerking like movement with 30-60 seconds interval. EEG,

MRI didn't show any pathologic sign. She has been diagnosed as TIC and

carbamazepin stopped but nothing changed. She has been suffering the illness

for 1 year and her illness destroyed her education and social life. Very

interesting point is she hasn't any tic like movement only during sleep and

when she is in solarium while natural sun light doesn't change symptoms!
