Guest guest
Does anyone have experience with scalp needling to treat ALS symptom limb weakness, or experience with using Speech Area 1 to assist wth swallowing in an ALS patient? I have two patients with differing presentations of ALS symptoms, and am working on a more detailed treatment plan for them. Thanks, Kathy Kerr L.Ac. Guest guest
I think scalp acupuncture is a good idea but you may be using a different system than I use. Use e-stim to make continious stimulation of the scalp points, and locate the areas perfectly or theere will be less result, I can e mail you a scalp acupuncture point chart if I can find the file. I think ALS treatment should include a lot of massage and neck re-alignment, there is a good patent, contains leeches which open sblood flow to the back of the head(they say network vessels sometimes)help supply more nutrition to the brain, there is a picture of a brain on the green and yellow box I can't remember the name, but leech is a key herb for als combined with some herbs than take it to the du channel, like du zhong... I think with intensive treatment you can make progress but its a tough disease to cure...
