NEW point on the leg: Jianfengshi / Chienfengshih

 

 

 

Hi All,

 

I have mislaid / lost my personal copy of the booklet " Newest

illustrations of the AP points (1973). by Medicine & Health

Publishing Co., Hong Kong, 100 pp.

 

If YOU have a copy:

 

(1) Could you please check the details for the NEW point Jian-feng-

shi / Chien-feng-shih (on the leg) and email them to me?

 

(2) I also need the HANZI character for the first syllable - " Jian " /

Chien " - in that point. [The last 2 characters (Feng-Shi) are the

same as in GB31].

 

I can find no trace of the details on WWW, except for my own page at

My listing there says:

Jianfengshi* Behind GB31 (Wind Market) ? NL23 2' ant to GB31-

Fengshi, which is at post edge of femur, where finger 3 touches side

of thigh when arms at sides Chienfengshih

 

There must be an error in that listing; JIAN cannot mean Behind

(because the point is BEFORE (ant to) GB31.

 

(3) Would you be willing to lend me your copy for a few weeks?

probably Qian2feng1shi4 meeaning *before wind market*

Also, the shanghai text has NLE-23 as Maibu a few inches away on the

anterior thigh.

Many thanks. There is a point on WWW with the Hanzi characters for

Qianfengshi but there are few useful data online on the point. All

that I can find is:

 

Qianfengshi Before Wind Market [GB31] NL23 2 " ant to GB31-

Fengshi, which is at post edge of femur, where finger 3 touches side

of thigh when arms at sides polio; paraplegia; hemiplegia; for

limbs~ lower palsy / paralysis, cannot lift leg, aches & pains, use

Qianfengshi + Qianjinxue

 

If you have more on that point, or have a copy of booklet " Newest

illustrations of the AP points " (1973). by Medicine & Health

Publishing Co., Hong Kong, 100 pp., please post the data. Unless I

made a transcription mistake, the point is listed there as Jian-feng-

shi / Chien-feng-shih.

You are correct. My code for Jian-feng-shi (NL23) was personal,

given in the late 1970s when I had access to little info on New &

Strange Points. It bears no relationship to the Shanghai codes, which

I have now.

 

My (sparce) notes on Maibu are:

Maibu [stride / Step Forward] NL24 / N-LE23 / Ex-LE14: on ant-lat

thigh, on lat edge of rectus femoris & vastus lateralis ms, 2-2.5 " "

below ST31 / 2.5 " below hollow just below ant sup iliac spine on lat

side of sartorius m w leg flexed; Needle Perp 0.8-2 " ; MOXA OK ;

Actions: Move Foot Forwards; Free Channel Bi; Indications: polio /

polio sequel; limbs~ lower paralysis; hemiplegia;
