Individuals or groups who propose that acupuncture be limited to conditions for which strict EBM-type evidence confirms efficacy greatly underestimate the clinical value of acupuncture in every-day practice. Their bias against (or ignorance of) the value of acupuncture do (and will) NOT deter me from using acupuncture routinely in very many conditions for which they say there is " no solid evidence " of clinical effect. For example, EBM-type evidence that acupuncture can help horses to win major Group-1 races does not exist. Tell that to the owners / trainers / vets who used acupuncture in winners of the Breeders Cup, Kentucky Derby, Melbourne Cup, Prix-de-l'Arc de Triumph, and top races in Ireland & UK! Bandolier will not be on my bookmark list! Best regards,
