Hello All!

This will be a very general question as I have a few patients with this

problem.

I realize that acupuncture can help POF but I am not sure that I am

doing the best thing. Overall, my focus is tonifying the kidneys with

acu and moxa. I do not have access to herbs (I live abroad and they

are not the easiest to get) so acu will have to suffice.

Hoping someone can give me some more direction.

Thanks in advance!!

Caitlin

Leon Hammer.

Dear Dott and all,

While dining family style in my favorite Chinese restaurant several

years ago, I started chatting with a lady who'd traveled a bit to get

to Chinatown. She had come for an appointment with Dr. Nan Lu,

212-274-0999, at 396 Broadway, New York, NY. She recommended the man

very highly. I don't know if the contact information is current but

I just did a search on Nan Lu and found the following information.

Nan Lu, O.M.D., M.S., L.Ac., is a classically trained doctor of

traditional and a New York State-licensed

acupuncturist. He holds a doctorate in traditional Chinese medicine

from Hubei College of Traditional , China, and a

master's of science degree from City University of New York. He is a

member of the advisory group for Columbia University's Center for

Complementary & amp; Alternative Medicine Research in Women's Health

and is a medical adviser to the National Foundation for Alternative

Medicine. He is also vice chair of the medical conference Building

Bridges of Integration for Traditional .

Dr. Lu has written three books in the Traditional

series from Avon Books: A Woman's Guide to Healing from Breast Cancer

(adapted into the Web site breastcancer.com, A Woman's Guide to a

Trouble-Free Menopause, and A Natural Guide to Weight Loss That Lasts.

He also hosts the weekly radio show & quot;Ancient Healing for Today's

Wellness. & quot;

Dr. Lu has been featured in Newsweek (special issue on alternative

medicine) and was a subject of the PBS documentary Harmony and Spirit:

Chinese Americans in New York. He practices traditional Chinese

medicine at the American Taoist Healing Center in New York City's

Chinatown.

I hope this helps.
